The “faces” of the clinic

As you know, Tanzania is a stunningly beautiful and yet very poor country. What you might not know is the Kigoma region is one of the poorest areas of Tanzania. Medical treatment is mostly on a pay-as-you-go basis, and many people cannot afford the 5,000 Tanzanian shillings (approximately $2.25 USD) needed to see a doctor. So illnesses and injuries often go untreated, sometimes for years. The free medical clinic brought much-needed assistance to the poor.
